Development of a specialised hood for dust capture

Synergetics was requested to develop a dust capture hood for use in a paper tissue factory, with the aim of collecting at least 75% of paper dust and fibers being released paper web speeds up to 700 meters per minute.

The manufacture and installation of the hoods involved project management, communication between a large number of parties, including the client staff and operators, drafting, fabrication and operators.

The manufacture and installation of the hoods themselves involved communication between a large number of parties, including the client, manufacturers, factory operators and engineering designers.

The hoods are now a patented technology with applications to a range of processes.
