Measurement of infra-red radiation from flares

Synergetics was asked to carry out measurements of infra-red radiation emitted from emergency flares from a gas-handling facility. Synergetics identified potential options for quantification, assessed their accuracy and appropriateness, completed computational fluid dynamics computer modelling, collected field data to validate the modelling, and provided advice on exposure management.
