Environmental and Occupational Air Quality Services
Synergetics air quality services and practical management advice helps ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency. Solutions are provided both for common situations like modeling emissions from point sources, and for difficult problems such as fugitive building emissions for which standard methods are either inadequate or non-existent.

Synergetics Air Quality services include:
  • dispersion modelling of atmospheric pollutants over medium to large scales utilising regulatory models such as AUSPLUME and CALPUFF. Synergetics have experience modelling a large variety of sources such as stacks, roads, stockpiles, industrial buildings and sheds;
  • assessment and modelling of fugitive emissions from industrial complexes;
  • calculation of NPI emission factors for NPI reporting;
  • monitoring a wide range of environmental air quality pollutants in accordance with Australian standards and relevant regulatory requirements;
  • providing legal advice and expert witness representation in a range of courts;
  • preparing meteorological data sets for use in dispersion modelling;
  • numerical modelling of air flows and pollutant dispersion around topographic features such as open pits, road canyons and building wakes by means of state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics modelling; and
  • conducting detailed risk assessments of health effects and environmental impacts associated with atmospheric pollutants.

Environmental and occupational air quality services have been employed by a wide range of industries including mining, intensive agriculture, manufacturing and processing plants, construction, roads and underground tunnels
